Overview 

Sedaro is hiring a Senior
Software Engineer to optimize
the performance of our data visualization platform for aerospace simulation. Our customers use our platform to explore and draw conclusions from simulated what-if scenarios. You'll
optimizehow we move massive datasets from backend to browser, enabling our customers to visualize and drill into trends across thousands of related scenarios.

    Studio, reporting to the Director of Engineering
     
  • Location:
    80% in-person in Arlington, VA
     
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident status required

What You’ll Do 

  • Architect the communication between our frontend and backend for speed, scale, efficiency, and resiliency 
  • Establish performance budgets, observability, and testing across the platform 
  • Create extensible platforms that enable a broad range of customer solutions 
  • Build powerful tools for customers to explore and learn from their simulations

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience 
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering 
  • Experience profiling and optimizing data-intensive web applications across the full request lifecycle 
  • Experience with data serialization, compression, or streaming strategies for large payloads 
  • Experience with TypeScript or Python
