Provide occupational therapy and evaluations/consultations to meet students educational needs under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. ; Communicate with Occupational and Physical Therapists. as needed ; Train staff in the use of materials and equipment; Provide direct occupational therapy services to eligible students within the District.
- Administers occupational therapy to groups and individual students as designed to accomplish the education goals and objectives determined by the IEP team
- Completes required documentation to support progress of students supported and services provided.
- Participates in IEP team membership to support student progress.
- Provides support to department activities
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association and two years of related experience; or a combination of education/experience/training which provides for an equivalent background necessary to perform the work.
- Successful completion of the National Board Examination for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working as an occupational therapy assistant in a public school district.
