About the Role:

The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients within a healthcare or retail setting. This position involves verifying prescriptions, counseling patients on proper medication use, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies to uphold patient safety and quality standards. Additionally, this role requires staying current with pharmaceutical advancements and drug information to provide accurate guidance. Ultimately, the Staff Pharmacist contributes to improving patient health outcomes through expert medication management and patient education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid pharmacist license to practice in the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a pharmacist in a retail, hospital, or clinical setting.
  • Certification in immunization delivery or other specialized pharmacy services.
  • Familiarity with medication therapy management (MTM) and patient safety initiatives.
  • Advanced training or certification in a pharmacy specialty area such as oncology, pediatrics, or geriatrics.
  • Proficiency in additional languages to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review and dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and professional standards.

  • Stay informed about new drugs, therapies, and pharmacy practices through continuous education and professional development.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
