DMT Trucking is a specialized flatbed operation, and part of the PS Logistics family of companies.

DMT currently runs over 350 trucks and almost 500 trailers from our five terminals in Birmingham, AL, Scottsboro, AL, Camden, AL, Starke, FL and Broken Bow, OK.. DMT Trucking provides safe and reliable transportation to customers across the eastern half of the United States, and is unique to any other PS Logistics owned company in that its fleet of over the road trailers is comprised of all 53-foot trailers.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and

maintaining the company's fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks and commercial trailers. This

role involves performing preventative maintenance and complex mechanical and electrical

system repairs to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with

U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health

Administration (OSHA) regulations.

Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and routine maintenance,

including oil changes, checking fluid levels, and DOT inspections.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using computer diagnostic

equipment.

Repair and/or replace malfunctioning components or parts, including engines,

transmissions, brake systems (air brakes), steering mechanisms, and suspension

systems.

Conduct safety checks and perform all necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are

roadworthy and meet state and federal DOT inspection standards.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and sometimes drivers

to discuss repair plans and provide updates on vehicle status.

Complete all work orders and related paperwork accurately, maintaining detailed

records of all maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company and industry

safety standards and environmental policies.

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability

to interpret technical manuals and diagrams. Proficiency in using computer

diagnostic software and all standard tools of the trade is essential.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally

more with assistance, and to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended

periods in a repair shop environment.
