Purpose of the Job:
To support Process Technology & Development Manager by monitoring & controlling the manufacturing process & parameters, handling the laboratory, and issuing the recipe and std. process parameter sheet to ensure stable manufacturing process is maintained for the manufacturing of all the Thermal and Acoustic insulation products.

Key Dimensions:

• Successful first pass quality (95%)
• Product Density management (as per Budget/PAP)
• Preparation of Fish bone diagram & RCA
• Technical support for new product dev(as per plan)
• Product Conformity score for the plant > 85%

• Yield improvement of Armaflex product families through SK/MK/HP/VP projects

• Leading the QEWO analysis (5 why) for defect reduction/elimination

Description of main tasks:

The Incumbent is responsible for the following tasks:

1) Analyze Process Parameters:

• Monitoring & analysis of process parameters
• Analysis of product quality
• Up keeping of process parameter database and maintain Process parameter file

2) Operational Responsibilities:

• Issuing of std. recipe and process parameter sheet for production.
• Approval of raw materials and mixed compounds
• Conducting raw material replacement trials as per procedure
• Managing the toolings required for manufacturing
• Maintaining the calibration of testing equipment & Liasoning with suppliers
• Maintaining Process Technology database & parameter file

3) Process Optimization

• Optimization of material usage by fine tuning the process.
• Reduction of product scrap % through process optimization.
• On line trouble shooting and advising corrective and preventive actions..

4) Training & Development

• Training & Development of plant operators.
• To focus on development in the area of production process improvement and suggesting the preventive actions.
• To communicate effectively and assertively in order to avoid conflicts at work place.

5) Periodic Audits

• Conducting QMS & EMS Audits as per schedule
• Upkeeping department system manual & procedures

6) WAM Implementation & EHS

• To learn, comply & contribute towards World Class Armacell Mindset system.
• Safety - To lead the teams to bring safety culture in the plant keeping Safety the top most priority.

• Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safest workplace for our employees.

Job Specifications

Professional Education

Diploma/ B.E/ B. Tech (Chemistry/ Rubber/Polymer), Bsc with CIPET.

Professional Experience (how long)?

5 - 10 yrs

In which areas?

Rubber processing industry I Process Techology or Quality lab / technical department.

Other specific skills/ knowledge?

1.Knowledge of different chemical mix used in our process,

2.Good communication skills, to be able to coordinate & manage with shift in charges and shift operating persons

3.Ability to analyze product quality and take corrective actions accordingly

4.Hands on computers operations for database management.

5.Coordination skills

Language skills

English, Hindi, Marathi or any other Indian Language
