Mathematics Teacher (Grades 5-8)

Job Description:
Parnassus Preparatory School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Middle School Mathematics teacher (for the 2025-2026 school year).  Full-time (1.00 FTE)

You will not only enjoy seeing your students flourish but also your career enriched. This position entails working with students as begin to grasp underlying principles of mathematical concepts, such as arithmetic operations, algebraic expressions, and geometric relationships. The teacher's goal is to help them move beyond procedural fluency and ensure that each child can reason mathematically and explain their thought process.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• An appropriate MN teaching license is required
• Ability and willingness to teach the classical trivium and sequence model as defined by the school
• The ability to speak and write clearly and effectively
• Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts education
• Ability to maintain an orderly classroom

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience preferred but not required
• An appropriate MN teaching license is preferred but not required
• Tier 3 or 4 License preferred but not required

Compensation:
Pay range:  $45,150 - $81,375
