About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to support critical Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for a leading Automotive OEM. In this role, you will act as a software detective—analyzing, troubleshooting, and enhancing complex WMS applications that are essential to warehouse and transportation operations. You will serve as a subject matter expert in Manhattan WMS, working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure system stability, performance, and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) based in Torrance, CA, requiring strong hands on expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast paced, operational environment.
This opportunity is open to individuals located in the Torrance, CA. 
Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office.  The project hours of operations will be Monday – Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

Key Responsibilities
Core Duties

Provide application support and issue resolution for mission critical Warehouse Management Systems, with a primary focus on Manhattan WMS (PkMS v2003 preferred)
Act as a functional SME for warehouse operations, identifying root causes and resolving system, data, and process issues
Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability
Facilitate clear communication between business users, operations teams, and technical resources

Deliverables or Project Scope

Stable and optimized operation of Manhattan WMS and integrated systems supporting warehouse and transportation workflows
Timely resolution of incidents, defects, and system issues across AS400 / RPG environments
Implementation of approved system enhancements and process improvements
Knowledge transfer, documentation, and training to support best practices and operational continuity

Collaboration Tools or Platforms

Manhattan Warehouse Management System (PkMS) and Blue Yonder WMS
IBM AS/400 (System i) using RPG III / RPG IV
Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience
5+ years of hands on experience supporting Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Manhattan PkMS version 2003 preferred
5+ years of experience working with IBM AS/400 (System i) environments
5+ years of development or support experience using RPG (RPG III and/or RPG IV)
4–6 years of experience supporting Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
Proven experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems in a production or operational environment
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application and system issues
Ability to work onsite 4 days per week in Torrance, CA (90501); candidate must be local

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting WMS solutions within the Automotive industry or Auto OEM environments
Exposure to or working knowledge of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management
Experience using Command Line Interface (CLI) tools for system support or troubleshooting
Background in Business Analysis and Client Relationship Management, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience providing training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to technical or business users
Prior experience in hybrid or enterprise operational support models with high availability requirements

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer Artech, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.
As required by law, below you’ll find the reasonable range of compensation Artech expects to pay for this role as set forth below.
We anticipate this contractor role will be posted until 5/30/2026.
