Cook (Full-Time) – Brandermill Woods Retirement Community

Brandermill Woods is seeking an experienced and dependable Cook to join our dining team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and takes pride in preparing quality meals from scratch. Our cooks play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents, where meals are not just food, but an important part of their day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and cook meals from scratch following standardized recipes, production sheets, and dietary guidelines
  • Execute high-quality food preparation while managing high-volume meal service
  • Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and food safety at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Work collaboratively with the dining team to ensure timely and smooth service
  • Adapt quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Required: Experience in a high-volume restaurant or food service setting
  • Required: Strong scratch cooking skills (not just reheating/prepared foods)
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure
  • Proven reliability and strong work ethic, someone who shows up ready to contribute
  • Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes, production sheets, and directions accurately
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude

 

Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Must be available to work some weekends and holidays
