POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Operations Technologist is a highly skilled, strategically oriented technical leader responsible for driving operational data excellence, cost governance, system optimization, and cross‑functional coordination across the entire Operations organization. This role provides senior‑level analytical, operational, and systems expertise that directly influences capital efficiency, operating performance, and executive decision‑making.
Functioning as the organization’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for operational data systems, AFE creation and lifecycle management (Quorum, WellView), cost validation, KPI development, and advanced analytics, the Senior Operations Technologist serves as a critical liaison between Operations, Production, Facilities, Supply Chain, Finance, Land, Regulatory, and IT/Data Management. The position requires a high degree of autonomy, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex technical and financial information into actionable insights for leadership.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead full lifecycle AFE creation, governance, and tracking for operational activities in Quorum and WellView.
- Provide senior‑level oversight of invoice validation, vendor ticket review, and cost integration workflows.
- Serve as primary owner of operational data integrity across WellView, Quorum, SiteView, SCADA, and analytics systems.
- Oversee aggregation, validation, and quality control of daily operational data and maintenance workflows.
- Design, maintain, and improve operational KPI dashboards, trend analyses, and performance scorecards.
- Act as central liaison for operational data and reporting across all technical and business groups.
- Lead integration and governance of data from SCADA, Cygnet, Zedi, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Conduct advanced data analysis, cost trending, scenario modeling, and operational forecasting.
- Champion database setup, migration, and quality assurance for operational systems.
- Develop complex dashboards and analytics workflows in Spotfire and PowerBI.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and contribute to development of best‑practice operational workflows.
- Produce executive‑ready reports, maps, graphics, cost summaries, and operational insights.
- Manage development of AFE workbooks; ensure accuracy of cost projections and coding.
- Build deep cross‑functional relationships and ensure unified decision‑making across Operations.
- Maintain respectful and productive working relationships within and across all work groups, ensuring effective collaboration and cooperation.

OTHER DUTIES

- Lead operational data components of A&D evaluations.
