Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Payable/Receivable Manager

Location: Tyler, TX

Department: Accounting

Reports To: Corporate Controller

Normal Work Schedule: The typical working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Summary

The AP/AR Manager supervises the full-cycle accounting functions, ensuring accurate vendor payments, timely customer collections, and reconciliation of financial records. This role leads the AR and AP teams, optimizes cash flow, implements and audits internal controls and is involved in the month end closing process. Reporting to Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

· 7-10 years AP/AR experience

· 3-5 years supervisor/management experience

· Knowledge of GAAP

· Attention to detail

· ERP proficiency (Infor M3 a plus)

· Experience with AP workflow software a plus

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but progressive experience in AR/AP is acceptable

· Proven experienced with successful conflict and incident resolution.

· Experience with training and mentoring others

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee invoice processing, vendor relations, and payments

· Manage cash application, customer credit limits and collections of delinquent accounts.

· Month end involvement including preparing AP accruals, AR accruals related to sales marketing spend.

· Ensure accurate usage of full account structure.

· Implement process improvements for efficiency

· Ensure compliance with GAAP and support Audits

· Supervise, Train and mentor staff. Set Performance goals and management department workloads.

Work Environment

· This job is carried out in a professional office setting and involves using standard office equipment like laptops, desk phones, and smartphones. Regular visits to production facilities may also be required. During those visits, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, electrical shock and vibration risks. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands

· Employees must be able to stand, walk, or sit; use their hands for tasks; reach with their arms; and communicate verbally. Occasional lifting or moving objects is necessary, along with close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
