    JOB COACH - EMERALD HIGH SCHOOL

    SUMMARY:  To provide supported employment in integrated work settings for students with disabilities who because of their disability need ongoing support services.  Support services may include individualized assistance to the student in job placement, travel training, skill training at the job site, ongoing assessment and long-term assessment.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
    �    Assists in conducting job task analyses of employment sites to determine what duties will be required of participants.
    �    Assists in conducting on-the-job training of required duties and other work related skills to participant.
    �    Assists participants in completing applications, interviews, etc. prior employment.
    �    Assists in completing reports, forms, etc. according to established guidelines and procedures.
    �    Assists in coordinating weekly work schedules according to participants' work schedule.
    �    Assists in coordinating and assessing readiness of individuals for job placement and matching interests, skills, etc. of program participants to available jobs.
    �    Assists in identifying barriers to employment (before and/or during placement) and seeks ways to remediate same.
    �    Assists in coordinating with employers to determine ability of participants to perform job tasks independently and to employer's standards before terminating on-the-job training.
    �    Shows proficiency in driving the district non-CDL bus safely and professionally to transport students to and from job sites.
    �    Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director for Special Programs.
    �    Alerts the Transition teacher of any problem or special information about individual students as indicated.
    �    Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of professional and certified personnel.
    �    Assists in the supervision and training of students placed in on-campus jobs and off-campus jobs.
    �    Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of instructional activities related to the vocational, residential, recreational and educational domains.
    �    Assists in conducting job development activities.
    �    Participates in interagency activities including coordination of services, meetings and staff development activities.
    �    Assists in all activities related to the involvement of students and parents in the transition process.
     
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Supervises students.
     
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Associate's degree or above or 60 semester hours of college/technical college or pass state ParaPro Assessment test. 

    WORK SCHEDULE: 180 days

    COMPENSATION: Grade 14 of the Classified Salary Schedule
