Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector ensures that products conform to specifications and quality standards set by internal quality and regulatory Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, during in-process inspections and prior to release. The QA Inspector also ensures that production staff and the facility comply with GMP regulations.

 

Permanent Full-Time (40 hours)

Sunday to Thursday 10:00 pm – 6:30 am

 

In this role, you will:

  • Perform in-process manufacturing and packaging inspections
  • Perform finished product inspections and release of finished packaged products
  • Submit labor posting of finished product in the Syspro enterprise resources planning (ERP) system and create Certificate of Manufacture
  • Perform routine and periodic GMP inspections and environmental monitoring activities
  • Assist QA management with corrective actions and customer complaints follow-ups
  • Provide absence coverage for other Quality Assurance staff on all shifts and at other Lower Mainland locations as required

 

You have:

  • Post-secondary education in a science discipline (2+ years) OR experience in a Natural Health Product (NHP), food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (2+ years)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Physically agile; able to lift heavy objects of up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP as outlined in the Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) (an asset)
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with stakeholders across the organization (an asset)
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (an asset)
