Job Description

 Position Roles:  

  • Responsible for all maintenance work activities taking place in your assigned area of the plant. 

  • Coordinate, oversee and direct from a global perspective the execution of all maintenance work, improvement projects and production support activities in compliance with all established policies, procedures and practices of LCRA and Zachry Industrial Group. 

  • This position will require off-hours and overtime support as needed. 

 

 Responsibilities: 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

 Daily activities 

* Attend 6:30 meeting for unit updates 

* Interface with client representatives 

* Document delays 

* Assist foreman with toolbox safety meeting at 7:00 

* Assist foreman with maintaining and updating schedule 

* Assist foreman with confirming work orders and complete steps 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Check deficiency report 

* Assist the foreman with checking calendar for employee training 

* Assist the foreman with covering toolbox topics with sign in sheet 

* Send weekly head count for the week 

* Assist the foreman with Smart Focus by crew 

* Check call out log 

* Attend scheduled meetings, fill out planner feedback forms and check tool room report 

  

Provide direction and support to Craft Foremen in their daily activities 

Evaluate personnel capabilities and help set career paths 

Act as the information "hub" for your assigned area, communicating on a regular basis with the unit ZHI Maint. Supt. and ZHI Site Mgmt. 

 Assure that all supervisors under your direct and indirect supervision are meeting all expectations as described in the  

Roles and Responsibilities of their field of employment  

  • Provide feedback to all supervisors under your direct and indirect supervision as to areas of strengths and areas in need of improvement and coach to enhance expected job performances 

  • Strong understanding of Chevron Phillips Cedar Bayou plant maintenance work processes; knowledge of Chevron Phillips Cedar Bayou and OSHA health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations 

Education: 

  • (Recommended) High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates degree in Business Management or Management Development

  • Communication, Organizational, Leadership, Teambuilding, Interpersonal Relationships, Conflict Management, Client Relations, Labor Relations, Computers and Computer Software (includes SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook)
