POSITION SUMMARY
Provide for the diagnosis and evaluation of mental and emotional disorders of individuals, and administers programs of treatment. Psychological services shall be carried out according to the guidelines established by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE
- Doctoral level Psychologist
- One year post-doctoral supervised clinical experience in mental health setting
- Six months experience in child/adolescent and/or outpatient setting
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D., licensed by the State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- SAMA
- CPR/First Aid; preferred
THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Provide direct clinical services in the area of psychological assessment, psychological consultation, individual, group, and family psychotherapy
- Provide consultation to all levels and all members of the professional clinical staff concerning patient care and management
- Provide teaching and supervision of staff, UTHSC residents, psychological associates and other specific staff as assigned
- Attend regular departmental service meetings and administrative meetings
- Produces a high volume of work within specified time frame
- Performs work with completeness and accuracy
- Completes work consistently and with integrity
- Takes initiative and motivates self into independent action
- Meets deadlines and meeting times schedules appropriately
- Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and handle consequences
