Minimum Qualifications

 Academic Background

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school (JD or LLB program), at a 2nd or 3rd year level preferred
  • Strong academic standing with demonstrated interest in commercial or business law and has specialization in contract drafting and reviews.

 Required Legal Coursework

 Candidates must have completed or be currently enrolled in coursework covering all of the following areas:

  • Commercial Law — foundational understanding of commercial transactions, sales, and trade regulations
  • Business Law — knowledge of corporate structures, fiduciary duties, business agreements, and regulatory compliance
  • Labor Law — exposure to employment relationships, workplace rights, and HR-related legal frameworks
  • Contract Drafting & Review — ability to analyze, interpret, draft, and redline contracts; understanding of contract clauses, obligations, and risk allocation

 Preferred Qualifications

 Technology & SaaS Exposure

 Given the nature of this role, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate practical familiarity with technology tools:

  • Has used or evaluated SaaS platforms as part of coursework, a law clinic, or a student organization (e.g., legal research tools, document management systems, e-signature platforms)
  • Demonstrated understanding of how software-as-a-service tools are adopted and integrated into professional workflows
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted legal tools (e.g., contract analysis platforms, legal research AI) is a strong plus

 Project & Practical Experience

 Candidates with any of the following hands-on experiences are strongly encouraged to apply:

  •  Completed an independent research project, capstone, or case study involving legal technology or digital tools in a legal context
  • Participated in moot court, law review, or legal clinic work involving contract review or business/commercial disputes
  • Worked on or contributed to a team project where SaaS platforms were evaluated, implemented, or recommended
  • Experience in legal hackathons, LawTech competitions, or innovation challenges

  What You Will Do

  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and onboarding AI-powered legal tools for the legal team
  • Help document legal requirements and workflows to inform AI tool configuration
  • Review and provide feedback on AI-generated contract drafts and legal summaries
  • Coordinate with teams to draft playbooks used for redlining key documents like NDAs, insurance and EPC agreements.
  • Support legal team with building prompts for drafting, risk analysis and data extraction.
  • Collaborate with technical and legal stakeholders to facilitate smooth tool deployment
