POSITION SUMMARY
The Memory Care Specialist is responsible for the oversight, support, and execution of Charter Senior Living’s Flourish Memory Care Program across multiple communities.
This role ensures that staff training, programming, and resident engagement meet and exceed Charter standards and all applicable state and federal regulations. The Specialist works closely with community leadership teams to drive program success, quality outcomes, and resident satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Oversight & Execution
Oversee and support implementation of the Flourish Memory Care Program
Ensure therapeutic programming is meaningful, consistent, and resident-centered
Partner with Life Engagement Directors to support programming, events, and daily structure
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in memory care services
Training & Team Development
Provide memory care training to staff in accordance with Charter standards
Coach and mentor team members on dementia care best practices
Support onboarding, retraining, and performance improvement initiatives
Promote a culture of compassion, engagement, and accountability
Operational & Community Support
Collaborate with Executive Directors and department leaders across communities
Support occupancy growth through program excellence and community reputation
Assist with transitions, new leadership support, and program stabilization
Ensure alignment across communities in memory care delivery
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
Support survey readiness and quality improvement efforts
Monitor program consistency, documentation, and care delivery standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Multi-site and/or multi-state experience required
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in memory care, dementia care, or senior living
Previous leadership experience (Memory Care Director, Life Engagement Director, RCC, or similar) preferred
Strong knowledge of dementia care programming and best practices
Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
Willingness to travel extensively
