Job Description

At Redo Cabinets, we are looking to add Measure Technicians to our talented team. The Measure Technician is an essential role that is a trusted pro who ensures accuracy and turns designs into flawless kitchen remodeling projects. The primary function of the measure technician position is the technical evaluation of the job site to determine the manner in which the contracted work will be installed. You will be a W-2 employee. We provide a company vehicle, company tools, health insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and steady inside work. Must have experience measuring kitchen cabinets.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform accurate measurements of cabinet components to determine the proper ordering of materials
  • Complete paperwork for ordering of all materials
  • Examine and record existing conditions in area(s) in which work is to be performed
  • Produce necessary drawing(s) for the installer to install the job per the contract specifications
  • Identify job site problems or irregularities to be addressed by the installer and or need to alter contract specifications
  • Identify job specifications requiring plumbing and/or electrical contractor
  • Review the contract and checklist with the customer to confirm expected work to be performed, the materials to be installed and any conditions that may affect scheduling and final outcome of the work performed
  • Collect measure payment from the customer as indicated on the contract if necessary
  • Adhere to the scheduled measures appointments as closely as possible without deviation
  • Project manage during the installation coordinating with the installer and customer questions.
  • Function as an ambassador for the company by presenting a professional appearance, answering customer questions and concerns in a business like manner, and treating the customer with respect at all times

Who You Are:

  • Have knowledge of a kitchen's composition and an understanding of cabinet layout designs and terminology
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in measuring and recording cabinet and countertop dimensions
  • Ability to follow directions and to provide feedback to project manager and sales department
  • Capable of identifying and addressing installation issues
  • Prior experience in cabinet refacing and cabinet installation a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a verifiable safe driving record and no physical limitations to perform the tasks required
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, and carpentry a plus
  • Must have a clear criminal background and will be subjected to a zero-tolerance drug policy
