Summary:
The Boxer inspects packages, assembles and fills boxes and stacks filled cases on pallets.
Essential Functions:
Folds boxes per specifications.
Uses protective gear properly to ensure safe operation of machinery, and safe use of chemical cleaning agents.
Attaches identification labels to boxes
Verifies case print is accurate and legible.
Places specified number of packages or product into container
Passes filled boxes through tape machine
Verifies package is dated and meets other quality requirements before placing into the case
Checks boxes for correct labeling and damage
Loads pallets with filled boxes according to specifications
Monitors and records temperatures of product
Draws random samples according to quality assurance specifications.
Cleans equipment according to company standards.
Notifies Production Lead of any product deviations

This role is non-exempt at $22.14 to $26.05 per hour.

Preferred Education & Experiences:
Three-to-six-month food manufacturing experience.

Knowledge of production processes, food safety and quality controls typically required in a food manufacturing environment.

Ability to count by multiples 2s and 3s
Abilities:
Ability to compare written information from work order to what is printed on the case.
Ability to interpret simple written instructions and follow established procedures.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with coworkers.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and cold conditions, and moving mechanical parts
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
