Duties

Provide program management direction, often with few or no precedents to work from, in order to satisfy the dynamic telecommunications requirements of the DoD, theatre Combatant Commanders, and federal and other government agencies.,Identifies requirements, develops and implements project plans, coordinates and integrates project activities, manages project resources, participates in project reviews, and takes corrective actions.,Conduct and/or chairs meetings with civilian and/or military personnel (both internal and external to the agency) as well as commercial vendors for the purpose of team building and project operation enhancement.,Develop status reports, policies, schedules, requirements, briefings, white papers, and results for respective customer projects. Serves as customer interface to DISA in resolving Mission Partner project-related problems or questions.,Manages Readiness programs, including Continuity of Operations, Lessons Learned and Disaster Recovery Plans. Alternate Agency representative for the Joint Planning Group supporting all contingency support plans.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards. Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs. Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience with network devices and components used for the secure transmission of voice, data and video across an enterprise network, project management methods, leading project teams, managing Readiness programs including Continuity of Operations, Lessons Learned and Disaster Recovery Plans. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education . This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. A three-year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service. Accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 3- year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
