The Connecticut River Academy (http://www.ctriveracademy.org) is a Sustainability Studies/Early College magnet school operated by Goodwin University on its river campus in East Hartford serving students in grades 6 through 12.  We are actively searching for a full-time School Psychologist for our High School and Middle Grades Program to join our dynamic team of educators for the current school year. The School Psychologist is responsible for planning, conducting, and interpreting psycho-educational assessments, counseling, determining behavioral and educational strategies for assigned students; and for providing ongoing communication and consultation to program staff, parents, other clinicians and outside agencies. An ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and interests.   The successful candidate should have experience with students and must have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong desire to work with students from urban and suburban settings and possess an understanding of and appreciation for multicultural education. Experience in providing assessment and direct services to scholars with various diagnoses and educational needs.  Master's degree and 070 certification are required. This position will remain open until a qualified candidate is found and accepts an offer of employment.  EOE.
