    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    POSITION: Teacher � Interventionist - Grades 7-8

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • A valid Ohio teacher's license validated for special education
    • A Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university

    RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    • General education teaching experience with implementing district initiatives with fidelity.
    • Have deep content (language arts) and pedagogical knowledge.
    • Demonstrate with general education students the ability to determine the essential understanding of grade level/course concepts and can teach these concepts concretely using a variety of methods and in different settings.
    • Can task analyze the most complex and difficult components of a particular grade level/course concept and can provide aligned instruction to close learning gaps.
    • Demonstrate ability to implement the district Pyramid process with fidelity.
    • Facile with real-time formative assessment of students and alignment of instruction.
    • High level of collaborative skills to ensure alignment of instruction.
    • Experience implementing strategies for behavioral modifications.                                                                                                          
    • This position is for students needing intensive subject knowledge instruction and the teacher will need to work towards intervention licensure to remain in the position.
