Senior Product Marketing Manager - GaN MMIC
The Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for
technical product marketing of MACOM’s GaN-on SiC MMIC portfolio. This position
will work with multiple functional groups such as the global sales team, design
engineering, quality, etc. in an effort to grow revenue, be an advocate for the
customer and be a subject matter expert for MACOM’s technologies and products.
This role will support on-site customer visits, drive new product definition
via customer feedback and trends and enable sales team success via collateral,
training and new products.
Responsibilities
• Ownership
of new product strategy and roadmap
• Translate
new customer requirements into recommendations for new product development
• Identify
new market needs and translate to specific product requirements with
prioritized features and corresponding justification
• Understand
product pricing strategies & develop new product business cases
• Ensure
the regional sales teams are current with the latest product collateral,
training, road maps, and application value proposition
• Support
of on-site customer visits as RF subject matter expert
• Engage
internal support teams (applications, product development, reliability,
quality, planning, etc) to build and sustain the product line and help in
resolving
• Customer
technical or delivery issues as required
• Be an
expert on competitor’s capabilities and product positioning in the market
• Execute
on deliverables for distribution sales, including design registrations, ship
& debits, as well as pricing
• Be a
self-starter in the creation of product specific collateral and tools
• Key
Competencies and Experience
• Strong
understanding of semiconductor device technology and assembly
• Strong
understanding of RF semiconductor testing, qualification and reliability
• Strong
understanding of RF semiconductor applications
• Strong
understanding of system level trades that influence GaN MMIC requirements
• Good
general knowledge of both RF sales, RF markets and customer base
• Proven
ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Strong
verbal, written & presentation communications skills
• Willingness
to travel, including internationally as necessary
• Self-motivated
with strong drive to achieve business objectives
• Ability
to blend the technical and commercial to deliver a balanced approach to
problems
• Strong
analytical skills and experience
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Master’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years
of experience in Engineering
• Extensive
experience supporting customers, direct sales and distribution sales partners
• Extensive
experience with new product launch and new business development
The Salary Range for this position is $122,000 - $192,000.
Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including
but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education,
and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to receive restricted stock
unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to
individual and company performance.
