Position Overview: 

Assist/support the Manufacturing leadership team and Engineering team by providing expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation. Ensures that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of manufacturing processes, carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Provides feedback and improvement ideas for the QMS and MFG systems to better meet customer demands. 

  

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

· Responsible for checking, progressing, and collating accurate build and inspections records 

· Provides technical support in the areas of machine pre-delivery inspections, insourcing product, and production line quality support activities 

· Inspect and audit components though all stages of the manufacturing process 

· Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved 

· Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the quality management systems 

· Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate teams to establish actions plans for improving quality 

· Attend and report at regular improvement meetings providing secure preventative actions to external and internal quality related concerns 

· Ensure all non-conformances are recorded 

· Assist purchasing department with vendor related quality issues - attend on-site visits as needed 

· Maintain calibration system, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated 

· Assist with new product introduction 

· Undertake special projects as required 

· Write reports and provide information as required 

· Take part in continuous improvement activities 

· Participate in root cause analysis and resolving problems 

· Maintain proper control of non-conforming material, components, or manufactured goods 

· Checking, progressing, and collating accurate build and inspection(s) records 

· Consistently promote high standards through personal example  

· Train/coordinate training for team members on product specific quality requirement and the QMS system 

· Provide technical expertise to the team 

· Work with all teams inside the organization 

  

 Requirements/ Qualifications: 

· Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  

· Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a quality position within a manufacturing organization to qualify for the position.  

· Manufacturing and quality experience 

· Excellent skills in reading and analyzing prints and drawings
