Job Description

About the position:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on HR Manager to support the buildout and ongoing operations of our new Lima, Peru location. This role will play a critical part in establishing foundational HR processes, supporting employees and managers, and ensuring a strong employee experience as we scale.

This position will balance day-to-day HR execution with opportunities to contribute to broader HR initiatives across the US and Latin America. The ideal candidate is a strong HR generalist who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and is excited to be part of launching and growing a new site.


Responsibilities:

  • HR Business Partnership: Partner with local leaders and managers to support team effectiveness, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR needs.
  • Talent Management: Support recruiting coordination and hiring efforts for the Lima site, ensuring a strong candidate and onboarding experience.
  • Performance Management: Support the execution of the performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback cycles, and employee development.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, helping to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • HR Operations: Execute core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, and HR systems support.
  • Policy Implementation: Support the rollout and consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations in Peru, while supporting alignment with global HR practices.
  • Compensation & Benefits Administration: Support the design, development, and administration of compensation and benefits programs for local employees.
  • Site Build & Growth Support: Support the setup and scaling of the Lima office, including hiring and onboarding, process development, vendor coordination, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Culture & Engagement: Help foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and employee support.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–7+ years of HR experience in a generalist or HR operations role
  • Experience supporting day-to-day HR operations and employee relations
  • Experience implementing and maintaining HR processes and programs
  • Experience driving hiring and onboarding efforts
  • Experience working in fast-paced or high-growth environments
  • Experience supporting new site openings, office buildouts, or early-stage teams strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Peru labor laws and employment practices required
  • Exposure to global teams or multinational organizations preferred
  • Strong understanding of core HR functions (employee relations, onboarding, compliance, HR operations)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be hands-on and execution-focused, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications and HR software (HRIS or HRMS)
  • Fluent in English and experience working with US-based teams
