Job Summary:

The Retail Salesperson will assist customers with purchasing merchandise.  

Supervisory Responsibilities:

-        None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

-        Greet and interact with customers.

-        Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.

-        Sells to customers using suggestive selling, and tie-in selling and upselling. 

-        Rotate stock when new merchandise comes in

-        Ensure sales areas are kept neat, clean, dusted, and inventory in the correct place.

-        Ensure merchandise has proper tags and labeling.

-        Ensure back stock is kept neat and orderly, checked, and stocked daily.

-        Maintain end caps and rotate end cap merchandise once a month.

-        Thorough knowledge about how to place special orders and utilize the Do It Best Catalog.

-        Place orders and assist charge customers with questions and issues.

-        Compliance with Hacienda uniform policy.

-        Ongoing completion of online training.

-        Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

-        High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
-        Previous retail experience preferred.
-        On-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements: 

 

-        Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
-        Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
