Position Summary

We are a multidisciplinary consulting firm seeking an experienced professional with strong technical expertise in sound modeling and acoustic studies. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience, a solid understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to work directly with agencies and clients. Experience supporting a variety of business sectors is preferred.


Responsibilities

    Perform sound modeling, noise impact assessments, and acoustic studies across a range of project types and industries

    Conduct field noise measurements and operate sound level meters and related equipment

    Interpret and assess compliance with federal, state, and local sound regulations

    Prepare clear, well structured technical reports, analyses, and client presentations

    Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal project teams

    Support and help grow business development efforts 

    Assist with task management, scheduling, and project coordination


Qualifications and Requirements

    5+ years of experience in sound modeling, acoustics, or environmental noise analysis

    Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent technical background)

    Proficiency with industry standard noise modeling software (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA, )

    Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS or QGIS) is a plus

    Strong understanding of environmental noise regulations and compliance requirements

    Familiarity with acoustic requirements of Federal, state, local agencies 

    Strong technical writing and documentation skills

    Experience working with agencies and clients in a consulting environment

    Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
