Position Overview:
As a Sautee Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a variety of dish components from the fryer and sauté station. This role is essential in producing signature Motek dishes while maintaining the speed, consistency, and quality expected in a high-volume kitchen.


Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Prepare and cook menu items using sautee stations according to our recipes and standards.
  • Monitor fryer oil levels and temperatures to maintain quality and food safety.
  • Properly bread, fry, sauté, and finish dishes while maintaining consistent flavor and presentation.
  • Coordinate with other stations to ensure timely and accurate completion of orders during service.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked fryer and sautee stations throughout service.
  • Check food quality and freshness before cooking and serving.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Properly label, date, and store ingredients used at the station.
  • Assist with prep work such as portioning proteins, preparing batters, breading items, and cutting vegetables.
  • Filter and maintain fryer oil and ensure safe operation of all kitchen equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year in a fast-paced kitchen environment. (Experience with Mediterranean food is a plus.)
  • Knowledgeable on food safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Bilingual (not required however, it is a huge plus.)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
