The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Nascote Maintenance and Production Technicians with automated system operation, maintenance and implementation of application enhancements.

  • Be able to modify and/or create PLC, HMI, Vision System & Robot programs.

  • Provide PLC troubleshooting assistance to maintenance.

  • Learn Fluid Delivery system for paint booth.

  • Support multiple PLC and electrical controlled automated systems.

  • Support and assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system issues.

  • Organize and maintain all system documentation (i.e. mechanical/electrical prints, software documentation and backups.)

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Participate in department meetings.

  • Completes documentation of activities as required.

  • Submit cost reduction and innovation ideas.

  • Perform other task as assigned.

  • Preferred: 2 years at 'A' tech or maintenance technician in manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred: RSLogix, Fanuc Robot and/or Cognex vision programming experience.

  • Ability to understand electrical schematics.

  • Be able to work with ACAD.

  • Must have good problem solving skills.

  • Must have good computer skills.

  • Must work well with others.

  • Must have good communication skills - both verbal and written.

  • Must be able to thrive in a team-based environment.

  • Required - A.S. degree in engineering or Technical field.

  • In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the educational requirements but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job or are enrolled in classes to complete their degree may be considered.
