Job Description

In order to reinforce our safety team in Nexans Benelux, we are looking for a : Installation HSE Engineer and transversal SIPP Nexans Benelux (m/f) :


Responsibilities:


 Installation



  • Conduct regular site installation inspections to identify potential risks related to activities & equipment

  • Collaborate with the project managers and contractors to ensure that safety measures are integrated into all phases

  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures tailored to the specific hazards present on the installation site, such as working at heights, handling hazardous materials, and operating heavy machinery.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and health complaints to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

  • Provide guidance and support to workers on safe work practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and emergency response procedures.

  • Coordinate safety training sessions and toolbox talks to increase awareness of risks and promote a culture of safety among all personnel.


 Transversal SIPP



  • Coordinating issues across the 3 UTEs of Nexans Benelux, such as internal emergency plans and asbestos inventories.

  • Develop synergies between the 3 plants and share best practice,

  • Challenge and ensure that regulatory risk analyses (workstations, noise, vibrations, fire, etc.) are properly carried out and reviewed at regular intervals,

  • Act as the BENELUX contact person for contacts with the SPF,

  • Challenge and ensure that accident and incident analyses are carried out properly,

  • Provide additional advice to the advice given by the section SIPP if necessary,


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master Degree in Engineering with min 5 years ideally on production sites.

  • Training in accordance with the legal requirements for the exercise of the function: Level 1

  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in emergency situations.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

  • Organised and Flexible

  • Methodical, rigorous and conscientious;

  • Proactive and dynamic.

  • Fluent in French, English and Dutch
