Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Process Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at SSR Mining- Cripple Creek & Victor. This role is critical in ensuring the reliable operation of all crushing and processing equipment within our plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Day to Day:

  • Lead by example, in all CC&V safety and environmental practices, ensuring complete safe practices;

  • Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with MSHA, and company-specific safety standards.

  • Must be able to read, write, and possess basic math skills;

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, crushers, gearboxes, and valves.

  • Install new machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Perform basic welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and metal fabrication to repair or modify equipment.

  • Operate cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.

  • Align and calibrate equipment to ensure proper operation.

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

  • Replace conveyor rollers, pulleys, and belting;

  • Rebuild various types of pumps;

  • Perform various types of welding and any other types of maintenance associated with all crushing and processing systems associated with the crushing systems and ADR plant.

  • Work closely with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams to support plant uptime.

  • Participate in team meetings, safety briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Is this You??

  • Proven experience working with rock crushers, conveyors, belt feeders, hydraulic systems, millwright tasks, welding, pipefitting, and conveyor belt vulcanizing.

  • Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including callouts and swing shifts, to support plant operations.

  • Strong commitment to maintaining safe work environments and ensuring environmental compliance.

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.

  • Must be physically capable of performing heavy mechanical work in a mining environment.

  • Hands-on experience in gold mining or heavy industrial processing environments.

  • Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair of large-scale processing equipment.

  • Welding and fabrication certifications or experience preferred.

Working Conditions & Environment:

  • This position works on a 10-hour rotating shift schedule.

  • The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Employees must be physically capable of performing tasks at these elevations.

  • Workers are routinely exposed to a variety of outdoor conditions, and weather can change frequently and become severe. Employees must be able to complete work tasks safely under these conditions.

For applicants residing in CO, the hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $32.89(Tech 1) – $50.69 (Tech 6).
