General Summary: This position serves a
vital role in enhancing student experience by developing, coordinating, and
implementing a diverse blend of programs and services that support the social,
cultural, personal, and professional growth for a wide range of students. The
position focuses on fostering community, promoting student engagement, and
supporting various student organizations and events. The position will
collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to build a vibrant, inclusive,
and enriching campus culture through student activities, clubs, cultural
initiatives, and more.
Requirements: Education and Experience: An associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree is preferred) in communication or a related field. A minimum of one year of related experience. Competencies: · Strong knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design platforms, and general technology, including Microsoft Office. · Good interpersonal communication, people, and leadership skills. · Strong experience coordinating student programs, advising student organizations, honor societies, and publishing publications for the newspaper and/or publicity, tangibly and/or virtually. · Strong knowledge of marketing, public relations, club organizations, and/or athletics. · Experience in a higher education and college setting · Technologically literate. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: Organization, department, and general office operations, services, procedures, and policies; financial rules, regulations, laws, and procedures and maintenance equipment procedures and the ability to multitask, adhere to budgets, and insurance regulations. Skills and Abilities: · Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. · Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in a variety of settings. · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. · Proficiency in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation. · Work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Familiarity with student engagement and co-curricular program development. · Commitment to fostering an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive campus environment. · Work with a diverse student population.
