General Description
Members of the Road America Safety Team will work in and around a 4-mile racetrack providing necessary services to teams and individuals who use the track. An interest in motorsports and experience in firefighting and emergency medical services is preferred, but training for the duties of the track will be provided for the right candidates.
Typical Duties
- Extinguish fires
- Move vehicles by towing
- Basic equipment maintenance
- Debris and spill clean up
- Basic medical care
- Use hand tools
- Use radios for communication
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Have physical and mental ability to work in potentially hazardous areas
- Ability to work in personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to sit, stand, talk, hear and use hands for manipulative tasks
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion unassisted
- Be able to work in various outside weather conditions
- Valid Driver’s License

Work Hours
The Safety Team position is a part-time, seasonal position. Workdays are typically full 8 – 10-hour days to accommodate the track schedule. Members can schedule shifts based on their availability and open shifts. The season is April through October.
