Qualifications

The position of a Bus Driver requires that the individual assume responsibility for the safe transportation of students. The successful applicant should possess the following personal and professional qualities:

· Class B CDL License with Passenger and Bus endorsements

· State of Michigan Department of Education Bus Driver Certification

· Good physical condition (required by law to pass a physical)

· Caring individual, positive experience with students

· Dependable

· Excellent proven driving skills

· Be alert and exercise good judgment

· Exhibit a positive image as a loyal representative of the school district

· Ability to supervise students in stressful situations

· Have the ability to establish favorable working relationships with administration, other drivers, maintenance personnel, teachers and students and is a team player

*The District will provide training and cover the cost of a CDL for those who do not have one.
