Key Responsibilities

As an Engineer – Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and Owner-Operated Produced Parts (OOPP) on the Technical Operations Engineering team, you will partner with suppliers and internal teams to develop alternative materials and solutions that reduce cost, improve reliability, and enhance fleet performance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and resolve PMA parts design, operation, maintenance, performance, and reliability issues.
  • Define maintenance program requirements while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Evaluate regulatory requirements and assess the impact of modifications on fleet reliability and performance
  • Lead design and implementation projects, including technical support and FAA PMA/OOPP approval processes
  • Provide on-site technical support for both line and base maintenance operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with suppliers to integrate FAA-approved materials into company technical manuals
  • Develop solutions for reliability issues related to aircraft systems, components, and maintenance programs

Location: This position is based at CSC – Willis Tower in Chicago, IL and follows a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).


What’s Needed to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace) or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 0–5 years of engineering experience, preferably within airline or OEM operations
  • Working knowledge of CFRs, airworthiness criteria, and technical documentation
  • Ability to manage complex projects and communicate technical information effectively
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the role
