About the Role:
The Laser Department Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining laser cutting and engraving machinery to produce high-quality components and products. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating laser cutting or engraving machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to laser equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in laser operation or related technical training.
- Experience with CNC programming and operation.
- Familiarity with CAD software for interpreting design files.
- Knowledge of materials commonly processed with laser technology, such as metals, plastics, and composites.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on laser machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting and engraving machines according to job specifications and safety protocols.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure precise laser processing of materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment to maintain optimal performance and prevent malfunctions.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, identifying defects or deviations and making necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve workflow, resolve production issues, and meet daily output targets.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
