About the role
Your responsibilities
• Responsible for all elements of the monthly close as it relates to overall US trade investment, including processing and analysis of the conditional and unconditional spend, reconciliation and aging of all trade related balance sheet accounts.
• Support Inorganic Trade Process, as well as perform manual trade accruals, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and Reckitt’s Global Trade Policy.
• Managed aged deduction process, including providing reports and analysis to Sales, assessing exception requires, managing intercompany transfers, and accrual calculations and analysis.
• Perform Balance sheet reconciliations and flux commentary vs prior month, Year End, and Prior year. This includes analysis of Customer net accruals and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Perform trade investment analysis by customer and promotion, ensuring accrual substantiation, understanding of month and YTD impacts, as well as identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Improve promotion accrual accuracy by performing promotion and deduction audits and providing corrective actions if needed.
• Manage end to end SAP rebate process
• Accountable and ensure compliance with Reckitt’s control framework, executing RFCF requirements.
• Maintain productive and proactive partnership the Commercial teams (Sales and Sales Finance) to ensure ongoing exchange of quality financial information. Provide guidance on financial policies.
• Special projects or analyses as required.
The experience we're looking for
- BS in Accounting or Finance; Have or working towards a CPA or MBA a plus
- 1-3 years accounting or financial analysis at a Consumer Products or Foodservice Company. Alternatively audit or consulting experience in Big 4 or other top firms
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (excellent Excel Skills, a plus)
- Accelerate/Siebel and/or SAP experience preferred
- Excellent organization skills and ability to understand and analyse data logically
- Ability to work well under pressure, and to complete multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work with detail
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter and a team player
