POSITION SUMMARY:

Support the key staff of the Insurance Department by assisting in the administration of group insurance policies for MAC, Affiliates, and Subsidiaries, with emphasis on the processing, coordination, and tracking of accounting and administration of such policies.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • MAC/MGC accounting, including payments, transfers, billings, A/R and A/P, all insurance lines.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly the warehouse report, support the review of insurance limits and endorsed limits for accuracy.
  • Assist in processing monthly actual domestic, import, and export sales for MAC.
  • Assist in processing quarterly actual domestic, import, and export sales and subsidiary’s quarterly sales billing.
  • Assist with domestic and international shipping insurance declarations, marine COIs, invoices, and payments.
  • Renew existing bonds for MGCs, including billing and payments.
  • Request commodity names to newly posted BU codes for product liability accounting rates.
  • Assist with insurance audits and related billing, and payments.
  • Assist MAC/MGCs with COI/Evidence of Insurance.
  • Check monthly statements from brokers.
  • Support yearly insurance renewal information from MAC/MGCs.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance or business-related fields or equivalent experience.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum three years’ experience dealing with brokers and insurance companies.
  • Must have the ability to work with deadlines and work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Requires excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability in a structured environment.
  • Experience in a brokerage, carrier, or corporate insurance environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes is essential
