POSITION OVERVIEW
The Private Equity Analyst Intern is responsible for compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data about processes and results to support and enhance business performance & ensure the current and future profitability. This position will also focus on cost savings initiatives, process analysis, and supporting some accounting projects.
This position requires a thorough understanding of financial and accounting principles. Ability to collaborate well with others, focus on continuous improvement, and a strong desire to analyze, investigate, and resolve issues based on root cause analysis. A strong critical thinking mindset and being self-motivated to manage risk and maximize opportunities for the business are key success factors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to the CFO for the businesses
Support and manage bid processes through data collection, analysis, and reporting, while coordinating with the other departments involved in the bid and pricing processes
Produce reports which include key metrics, financial results, and variance analysis
Assist in identifying opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
Develop models that help with decision-making
Ensure compliance with internal controls
Reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
High degree of professionalism expected
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analysis, and Financial Risk Specialist and pursuing an MBA
Strong demonstrated organization capabilities
Strong demonstrated analytical capabilities
Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage effectively through ambiguous, unstructured problems
Extremely high curiosity and ability to effectively evaluate multiple, competing viewpoints simultaneously
