Job Description

The RDX Road Crossings Lead Technician supervises field crews performing construction, maintenance, and repair of road crossings, culverts, and access roads in remote Alaska locations. The Lead Technician provides hands-on guidance, schedules work, resolves conflicts, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and mentors crew members to maintain high-quality work and safe practices.

  • Lead and supervise a team of RDX Road Crossings Technicians during construction, maintenance, and repair of road crossings, culverts, and access roads.
  • Work alongside crews completing tasks, providing guidance, instruction, and mentorship to ensure work is done safely and efficiently.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and coordinate work schedules to meet project timelines.
  • Stage, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for road crossing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and client-specific regulations, including environmental, permitting, and safety standards.
  • Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
    • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
    • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
    • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
    • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
    • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
    • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
    • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
    • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Basic knowledge of construction or industrial work practices, including road and pipeline crossing projects.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and guide crew members effectively.
