HDR Engineering is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Construction Professionals in the Northwest Region.

As a Project Manager in our Construction Services Group the focus is on identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction related support activities for multi-discipline power design projects.

  • Serve as a key client contact tasked with building and maintaining client relations with both internal and external clients coupled with the development of new Construction Services clients.

  • Work with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking.

  • Oversee contract and MSA negotiations, conduct resource recruitment, and provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently.

  • Serve as the key client contact and project manager on larger projects involving multiple services and personnel and will make decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and coordination of external resources to properly execute project goals.

  • Lead business development in the Northwest area as it relates to Construction Services developing and maintaining annual goals.

  • Develop and lead the QA/QC process on a project specific basis as well as maintain project document control.

  • Will assist or lead projects as a client lead and/or project manager.

  • Responsible for supporting the development of new and existing clients throughout the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction or design certifications

  • Experience with estimating software (Timberline ), scheduling software (Primavera P6 or SureTrak ), and project management software (Prolog )

  • Ability to interpret construction schedules


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
