Job Description

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking a Director of Sales to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Aggressively target the solicitation of business from key market segments: corporate, consortia, wholesale, partnership programs, government and group (i.e. meeting, incentive, convention and event) to achieve annual room and banquet revenue targets.
  • Support revenue management, digital marketing and brand marketing in developing room and banquet offerings targeting guest direct and online travel agents.
  • Support food and beverage, spa and bridal in achieving revenue and marketing goals.
  • Develop sales strategy, promotions, activities and budget as required to support Director of Sales & Marketing in preparing the annual marketing plan and budget.
  • Track and monitor the productivity (i.e. room and banquet targets, sales calls, site inspections, entertainment, etc.…) of each sales staff and provide guidance as required.


General Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel sales and/or marketing, including management-level experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple market segments including Rooms, MICE/Events, Corporate, and Leisure.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills with corporate clients, agents, and travel partners.
  • Solid analytical skills including budget planning, revenue forecasting, and KPI management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills in both Japanese and English.
