We are seeking a New Vehicle Upfitter to join our team at Tapani Inc. This position is responsible for outfitting new fleet vehicles with electrical systems, accessories, and equipment to prepare them for use in the field. This includes the installation of lighting, power inverters, wiring harnesses, electronic components, and other systems. The role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, and the ability to complete consistent, high-quality installations.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical installations in new vehicles including lighting, inverters, radios, and other powered accessories
Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and relays according to installation standards
Install switches, control panels, power sources, and other vehicle electrical hardware.
Interpret wiring diagrams and installation plans to complete accurate setups.
Coordinate with team leads and departments to understand vehicle outfitting requirements.
Test and verify functionality of electrical components after installation.
Mount racks, tool storage systems, brackets, and other hardware as needed.
Maintain clean work areas, tools, and supplies.
Ensure work meets Tapani’s safety, quality, and performance standards.
Document completed installations and assist with vehicle hand-off to operations.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of DC vehicle electrical systems, wiring, and components.
Experience with automotive electrical tools and diagnostic equipment
Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics.
Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/power tools.
High attention to detail and consistent installation quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a full-time position based out of Battle Ground, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 – $42.00 per hour, depending on experience.
