RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor intrusion detection systems, access‑control alarms, duress alarms, and CCTV feeds to identify unauthorized activity or security incidents.
- Acknowledge, assess, and document alarm activations in accordance with established procedures.
- Dispatch security personnel or notify designated authorities in response to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity.
- Verify credentials, access permissions, and authorization for individuals requesting entry into controlled or restricted areas.
- Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and activity records for all alarms, communications, and security‑related events.
- Conduct routine checks of alarm panels, communication systems, and monitoring equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Report equipment malfunctions, false alarms, or system irregularities to appropriate personnel for corrective action.
- Follow all physical security, personnel security, and information security requirements applicable to the facility.
- Support emergency response procedures, including coordination with security forces, first responders, and facility leadership.
- Maintain awareness of facility security postures, access restrictions, and operational changes that impact monitoring duties.
