Role Overview: The Senior Plan Analytics Analyst leads complex analytical work, builds strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization to drive adoption of data- and insights-driven decision-making, serves as a key partner to leadership, supporting strategic vision and goals, and acts as a trusted resource for data, reporting, and delivering clear actionable insight.
Work Arrangements:
- Remote - This position is fully remote and may be performed from any location within the United States; however, the associate is required to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Responsibilities:
- Define business problems, assess key variables and drivers, identify patterns in data, and provide solutions to address business needs, including BI dashboard development.
- Influence management, operational units, stakeholders, and reporting staff to produce clear, accurate, and informative reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Generate analytics to identify recovery opportunities related to fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Perform advanced data mining across multiple platforms (Facets, Jiva, eLTSS, CareAnalyzer, supplemental files).
- Conduct and document Quality Assurance (QA) testing, analytics, and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate across corporate areas to understand workflows, document processes, and ensure high-quality product delivery.
- Developing forward-thinking prototypes that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Learn rapidly and apply new knowledge to strengthen analytics, reporting, and business outcomes.
- Coordinate analytics working sessions and communicate timelines, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Partner with business, analytics, and development teams to create visualizations and reports that meet business needs.
- Mentors and coaches other analysts in their day-to-day work
- Partners closely with plan leadership to support operational decisions that enhance team performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, healthcare analytics, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 7 to 10 years of healthcare experience
- 5 or more years of analytics experience
- 2 or more years of Databricks and/or PySpark experience
- Python coding experience (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and SAS; ability to learn additional analytics and big data tools.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical writing skills (business requirements, queries, reports, presentations).
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience in collecting, organizing, mining, analyzing, visualizing, and communicating large volumes of information with high accuracy
- Experience conducting and documenting QA testing using structured problem-solving techniques
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, and ability to meet deadlines,
- Multitask and deliver high-quality work reflecting a full understanding of expectations.
