Job Summary
The Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) is a defined benefit (DB) pension plan that is dedicated to providing a secure retirement income to more than 500,000 members in Ontario’s healthcare sector. More than 800 employers across the province offer HOOPP to their employees.
The Strategic Planning & Performance team is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness through strategic planning, performance management, and cultural development. This includes facilitating the division’s strategic and operating plans, coordinating priority and financial planning, leading operational risk and business continuity efforts, and fostering a strong organizational culture through learning, development, communications, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
The student will support the day-to-day operations of the teams within Strategic Planning & Performance and provide a variety of administration and other support to the group. The student will need to be adaptable, as the duties may shift throughout the term of the contract.
What you will do:
As a Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience while supporting the Organizational Development and Plan Operations Risk Management teams across learning, communication, and administrative activities.
Support day-to-day team operations by assisting with administrative tasks and ad hoc projects.
Assist with knowledge and learning management by updating content ownership, conducting quality checks on training materials, and helping keep learning resources accurate and accessible.
Support training and development initiatives by updating training materials and refreshing PowerPoint decks using current templates.
Proofreading documents and helping update internal communications, SharePoint sites, and team presentations.
Assist with data entry, maintaining trackers, and supporting basic finance-related tasks as needed.
Support the creation and maintenance of Training and Development BI reports.
Collaborate with team members across teams to support shared initiatives and one-off projects.
Assist with simple Copilot agents to help streamline repetitive tasks.
Perform general office and administrative duties and other tasks as assigned to support the team.
What you will bring:
Enrolled in a college or university program with a focus in Business Administration, Human Resources, Commerce, Marketing or Communications.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; specifically in Excel, PowerPoint and Co-Pilot.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness.
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with senior staff and external counterparties.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $21.00 to $31.00
The actual hourly rate offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
