Summary of Position
- This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Burton’s full-funnel paid media campaigns across Paid Social, Display, Paid Search, Shopping, P-MAX, and Affiliate channels. As a key member of the Digital Marketing team, this position drives awareness, consideration, and conversion for our Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) business, while collaborating closely with global teams to localize strategies for the Japan market.
Main responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across Paid Social, Display, Paid Search, Shopping, P-MAX, and Affiliate channels.
- Manage media agencies and affiliate partners to maximize campaign efficiency, reach, and ROAS.
- Apply audience segmentation and personalization strategies to enhance performance.
- Analyze customer data to identify targeting opportunities and improve campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling messaging and design assets.
- Continuously test and optimize creative, copy, formats, and targeting segments.
- Work with analytics teams to measure churn, repeat purchase rates, and LTV.
- Identify and implement strategies to increase customer acquisition.
- Report on campaign performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights.
- Align paid content with Burton’s brand tone, values, and seasonal priorities.
- Collaborate with global teams to localize assets and strategies for Japan.
- Support budget management, invoicing, and monthly performance reporting.
- Track key KPIs such as ROAS, CPC, CPM, Impression Share, Conversion Rates, and Revenue.
- Leverage A/B testing and insights to drive continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in digital media planning and paid media execution.
- Proven success in running performance-driven campaigns (reach, engagement, traffic, ROAS).
- Experience managing agencies and media partners.
- Strong understanding of digital KPIs, customer journeys, and attribution models.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, etc.)
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as GA4 and Looker Studio.
- Exceptional communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Storytelling ability through digital marketing.
- Business-level Japanese required; English preferred for global coordination.
- Must reside in Japan (no relocation support/visa sponsorship).
- (Optional) Experience with affiliate marketing programs.
Work arrangement
- On-site attendance is mandatory four days a week (Monday–Thursday), with remote work permitted on Fridays.
