Job Description

INTEGRIS Health is seeking an experienced Specialty Critical Care Intensivist Physician who is board certified/board eligible in Critical Care Medicine to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and exhibit expertise in all aspects of Critical Care Medicine.

Join this dedicated Team who will allow you to thrive in a broad mix of clinical responsibilities ranging from:

  • cardiogenic and distributive shock patients
  • pre and post implant MCS patients
  • pre and post solid organ transplantation (Heart, Lung, or Liver
  • select postcardiac surgery patients
  • shock/ECMO Network patients

The practice structure and highlights are:

  • 14 shifts per month
  • 10 patient load on average
  • Highly trained APP support
  • Separate shock/ECMO coverage including V-A and V-V cannulation
  • Daily multidisciplinary rounds
  • EPIC EMR

The INTEGRIS Advanced Cardiac Care program is part of the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute within the INTEGRIS healthcare system. The Institute is a regional leader with heart, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation, along with nationally recognized Mechanical Circulatory Support and ECMO programs. 

Responsibilities

The Physician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately and documents information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis
  • Identifies relevant medical issues accurately and uses appropriate procedures and testing
  • Completes and maintains problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms
  • Participates in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee
  • Provides direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team
  • Ensures fiscal viability of the practice
  • Complies with policies and procedures if applicable.
  • The Physician is responsible for patients.

This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.

Qualifications

  • Oklahoma MD or DO license
