Provides psychiatric care in collaboration with and/or under the supervision of physician(s), as required by state licensure, certification, and organizational policies.
Conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including review of medical and psychosocial history, mental status examinations, and screening for co-occurring medical or psychiatric conditions.
Assesses, diagnoses, and treats psychiatric disorders in accordance with evidence-based practice, clinical guidelines, and department protocols.
Develops, implements, and monitors individualized treatment plans, including medication management, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing symptom assessment.
Educates and counsels patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and engagement in care, including telehealth services when applicable.
Communicates treatment plans and patient progress with interdisciplinary care team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
Collaborates with, consults, and refers patients to physicians, therapists, specialists, and community resources as clinically indicated.
Prescribes, orders, administers, and manages psychiatric medications and related treatments in compliance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
Provides clinical guidance and direction to nursing staff and other clinical personnel involved in patient care, as appropriate.
Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all patient encounters, assessments, treatment plans, and communications within the medical record.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain clinical competency as required for area of assignment.
- Critical thinking skills with attention to detail in order to review nurse’s notes, laboratory data and other patient information when evaluating patient condition, reviewing medical records charts to diagnose and treat, and performing minor procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to include written and verbal comprehension and expression.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards of service excellence and organizational values.
- Knowledgeable about scope of practice.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience with diverse populations
2. Spanish language skills strongly preferred.

Physical demands Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time; ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours to work: Considering both full-time candidates for this position, with flexibility to start at part-time and expand.

Summary
WWC Physicians PC offers the following benefits:
- Insurances: Employees consistently working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, hospital confinement, life, disability insurances after satisfying the waiting period.
- Retirement: Voluntary contributions to the 401k and/or Roth plans after first of the quarter following hire date. WWC Physicians PC matches up to 5% of eligible salary after one year of employment and a minimum 1,000 hours of service.
- Time Off Benefit:
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time and part-time (part-time is prorated) employees will begin accruing upon hire date. Waiting period of 90 days. PTO amounts for 40-hour employees are 23 days (184 hours). Maximum annual carryover of 240 hours.
- WA Paid Sick Leave: All employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Waiting period of 90 days. Maximum rollover is 40 hours per year.
- Extended Sick Time (EST): Full-time and part-time (part-time is prorated) employees will begin accruing upon hire date. Waiting period of 90 days. EST hours may be used for illness or injury after an absence of three consecutive working days. WA Paid Sick Leave and/or PTO, if available, will be used during this waiting period. Maximum accumulation of 480 hours.
