POSITION / TITLE: Business and Technical Proposal Writer


POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Proposal (Bid/Tender/RFP) Executive/Specialist with a background in technical writing and proofreading, working as part of the Presales team to create compelling business and technical proposals for Kore. Ai’s prospective partners and clients. The role combines responsibilities across proposal coordination and proposal management.


LOCATION: Hyderabad (work from office)


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • RFP Analysis: Review, analyze, and summarize RFP documents to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance obligations.
  • Proposal Writing: Write, edit, and format technical and non-technical sections of proposals, ensuring alignment with client specifications.
  • Collaboration: Ensure proposals are executed end-to-end by coordinating all activities within the defined timelines. This role demands strong due diligence, attention to detail, and a high sense of ownership.
  • Coordination: Work with stakeholders at all levels—from the Executive C-suite to developers, engineers, and Sales POCs—across both business and technology teams. Clearly outline each stage of the proposal process and create schedules to meet all deadlines seamlessly.
  • Quality Control: Be accountable for quality assurance by maintaining a comprehensive quality checklist to ensure 100% accuracy and consistency across all documents and ensure all proposals are grammatically sound, concise, well-written, properly formatted, and tailored to the appropriate audience.
  • Research: Conduct frequent interviews with SMEs, and support departmental goals by gathering up-to-date materials from various sources, like PMMs, Engineering Managers, Field Sales, etc., for inclusion in future proposals and corporate documentation.
  • Content Development: Create and maintain a library of templates, boilerplates, and reusable content to streamline future RFP responses and act as the custodian of key trackers, documents, and decks essential to the presales team, while also assisting in maintaining the RFP and proposal archives.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all proposals meet mandatory compliance requirements outlined in RFP documents (e.g., page limits, forms, certifications) and adhere strictly to presales processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend process improvements for the RFP response lifecycle to improve efficiency and success rates.

 

MUST HAVE SKILLS  

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, stay highly adaptable, and remain well organized. The role may require adjusting to last-minute changes and occasionally working late evenings or weekends to meet non-negotiable client timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, along with strong oral, written, and presentation skills. Should be a confident communicator with a flair for storytelling.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders at the VP and C-suite levels, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to collaborate with sales teams and subject matter experts to produce persuasive, high-quality content.
  • Should thrive in a multitasking environment and be capable of effective crisis management.
  • Ability to drive subject matter experts toward developing compelling, winning proposal content.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing presales as a long-term career.

 

TOOLS & EXPERTISE:

  • Ability to conduct online meetings and collaborate effectively in virtual environments.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfortable working with Google Drive, including Slides, Docs, and Sheets.
  • Macro coding knowledge and advanced Excel skills are a plus.
  • Design experience or a creative background is an added advantage.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION / SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in the presales function of technology or product start-ups.
  • Professional certifications in proposal writing, technical writing, information security, Agentic AI, and related AI topics are advantageous.
  • An MBA/MS/MCA/MA fresher from a prestigious institute with exposure to AI/ML or a candidate with at least two years of experience in a software company in technical writing, content writing, product marketing, or presales is preferred.
  • An engineering background (preferably Computer Science or IT background) is a plus.
