An opportunity exists at G&E Contracting LP for a Qualified Traffic Control Person (TCP). This is a full-time position based out G&E’s Langford yard in Victoria with jobsites in the local area, reporting to the Site Foreman. This position has the possibility to evolve into an operational position.

The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:

• Valid TCP certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Experience working around in civil operations including utility installations & road building.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and,
• Dedicated, committed and safety conscious.

Job duties include the following:

• Support operations with TCP duties.
• Ensure safety measures are followed and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions. 
• Establish work zones safely and clearly using appropriate signage and delineation devices. 
• Perform labour tasks in a variety of different construction projects.
• Operate company vehicles in support of jobsite activities.
